James Elliott, Esq., the founder of the Elliott Law Offices, passed on April 13, 2018.  He is remembered for his hard work helping to create and refine the laws of the worker’s compensation arena.

He obtained successful outcomes for his clients through both trials and appeals, and participated in creating and refining the law through 14 published appellate cases.

James was admitted to the Colorado bar in 1962 after obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Duke University. He began his legal career in Colorado as a clerk for Judge McWilliams on the Colorado Supreme Court. He was an associate at Wood, Ris & Hames and then a named partner at a number of law firms, including Hemminger, McKendree, Vamos & Elliott; Elliott and Greengard (which was the initial iteration of what is now Senter Goldfarb & Rice); Elliott & Barbo; and, finally, The Elliott Law Offices in Arvada in 1984.

The Elliott Law Offices are forever thankful to James for his leadership in the legal field and his life-long commitment and contribution to the citizens of Colorado through his work.
